
Chandrayaan-1 is an unmanned mission by Indian Space Reasearch Organisation(ISRO).For launching the spacecraft they are using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles.Its weighs about 1340 kgs.It also carries a high resolution remote sensing equipment.
OBJECTIVE:
- Its main objective is to prepare a 3-dimensional atlas of both near and far side of the moon.
- To conduct chemical and mineralogical of the entire lunar surface for distribution of elements.
ESTIMATE:
- The estimated cost is INR 3.8 billion(US$ 83 million).

LAUNCH:
