DADA'S ROAD TO RETIREMENT


Ganguly aka Dada who is always an entertainer and a match winner has always pulled crowds to watch his knock,has announced his retirement from international arena. And it is a shock for his followers. Ganguly's announcement stated to be the begining of the end for fab four(Dravid,Tendulkar,Kumble).
Sourav Ganguly - Career timeline:
June, 1996 - Sparkling century on debut at Lords(one of the 11 indians to achieve this feet) . Follows it up with another century in the very next Test at Trent Bridge.
February 26, 2000 - Is named captain home series against SA. The announcement comes after Tendulkar has resigned from captaincy. At the prime of his one-day form, he ends the series as top run-getter as India win the series3-2. Is named full-time captain after the series.
March 20, 2003 - Scores a century in the World Cup semi-final as India make it to the final.
Nov 2005 - The selectors end his five-year reign as Test captain when they pick Rahul Dravid to lead India in the Tests against Sri Lanka.
COMEBACK MAN:
December 7, 2006 Ganguly is picked for the Tests & becomes the leading run scorer in that series.
Jan 21, 2007 - In Nagpur, on his ODI comeback, scores 98 against WI.
Oct 7, 2008 - Two days before the start of the Ind-Aus test series, announces it will be his last series.
